TV schedules for over-the-air nostalgia networks

Scheduling Changes: 2 Sep 2019

Barnaby Jones

Sorry for this long delay. There have definitely been changes since my last update in June. So, let’s not waste time and get to the rundown.

Antenna TV

Back in July, the biggest change was Soap being bumped to weekends only. The weekend schedule in the early afternoon had some juggling, but nothing was removed or added to the network’s slate. What’s Happening!! and its follow-up series are both on weekends while Family Ties is now weekdays-only.

Scheduling changes: Week of 1 April 2019

We are now in the second quarter of 2019 and several schedule changes big and small, so let’s get right to it.

Fess Parker as Daniel Boone

Antenna TV

Goodbye: Small Wonder

The largely loathed ’80s syndicated sitcom Small Wonder is out of Antenna TV’s schedule, though it only aired on Sundays. It is replaced by Gimme a Break!.

Scheduling changes: Week of 18 March 2019

A few minor changes that are more footnotes but still deserve some attention.

Life with Elizabeth title card

Charge!

The evening showings of The Avengers and Secret Agent on weekends have been axed. Both can still seen midday Sunday.

Bounce

The minor-est of minor notes. The Saturday morning block of The Bernie Mac Show and Half & Half is now Bernie and One on One. Half & Half can only be found in the early hours of Sunday.

Decades

Hello: Life with Elizabeth
Goodbye: Mr. Lucky

The casino-turned-restaurant drama Mr. Lucky has been replaced by the Betty White sitcom Life with Elizabeth in Decades’ late night Lost TV block.

Scheduling Changes: Week of 4 February 2019

A few updates I missed last week and a few minor tweaks.

La Femme Nikita starring Peta Wilson

Bounce

Goodbye: A Different World

(I missed these last week…) Not that A Different World aired more than a couple times a week, but its now been a couple weekends since the ’80s sitcom was a part of the network’s lineup. It (re)joined Laff this past weekend. The network recruiting Scandal might not have worked out as hoped as its already been bumped to the overnight hours. The weekday schedule shuffles its sitcom and movie blocks (weekdays and weekends) around and Half & Half moves to weekends, but the changes aren’t major.

Charge!

Hello: La Femme Nikita
Goodbye: Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons; Space 1999; Thunderbirds

La Femme Nikita joins CHiPs as Charge!’s weekday retro programming with three episodes every afternoon.

And at some point in January, the weekend schedule converted movies. The newcomers Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons didn’t even last the month. Space 1999 is also gone as are weekend editions of its weekday shows.
